The majority of her extended family comes from Cape Breton Island. She has attended the Music Camp on the Canal in St Peters, Cape Breton many years in a row.

Jelynne has played in numerous competitions, special and community events and she has won the Lawrencetown Exhibition Idol competition twice, she opened for the Canada 150 event in Greenwood, NS and is booked to perform the Kingston Steer BBQ this July.

She has lived in Annapolis Valley for the majority of her life (moving here in 2010) and has recently moved to Berwick NS, where she attends West Kings High School.

She has been singing and performing her entire life, never missing an opportunity to jump on a stage. She is mostly self taught on the guitar, piano, ukulele & vocals.

“Still in Bed” is Jelynne’s first ever single. She wrote this song herself and recorded it at the Wolfville Library’s  Media Makery site, playing her own guitar, adding her own vocals and harmonies to the track. This submission has allowed her to make it to the CBC Searchlight’s Top 100 National competition, where only 7 musicians/bands were chosen from Nova Scotia. (She has had airtime from CBC radio one , 97.5FM and CITU FM!)
